چکیده

We present a quantum mechanical study of the diatomic hydrogen H(S) and oxygen O(P ) collision and energy transfer for its four molecular symmetry (XΠ, Σ, Π, Σ−), which is important for the investigation of many processes of astrophysical and chemical interests including the one on molecular cooling, trapping or Bose-Einstein condensation. We compute the rovibrational spectra for the (XΠ) state and the resulting bound states are in an excellent agreement with experimental data for the energy range lower than the dissociation threshold. We calculate the phase shifts of its partial-waves, the total cross section, and the differential cross section. They are all well-structured because of the shape of its potential curve. We do the similar studies for the other three dissociative states (Σ, Π, Σ−). Finally, we have also decided the thermal rate coefficients for the hydrogen and oxygen collision for its four individual states.

A Theoretical Study of the Stability and Dielectric Constants of Molybdate-Phosphonic Acid Complex

In this work, we investigated the stability of Molybdate-Phosphonic Acid (MPA) complex by density functionaltheory (DFT) computations in six solvents with the dielectric constant ranging from 1.92 to 10.36. The methodsare used for calculations are B3LYP and B3PW9 I that have been studied in two series of basis sets: D95nand6-31+G (d,p) for hydrogen and oxygen atoms; LANL2DZ for Mo and Phosphoru...

Quantum Theoretical studies of Nanostructures onto Hydrogen Adsorption on V-surface

We have studied the adsorption processes of H2 on the V (100) surface of Vanadium using self consistent field theory.Dissociative adsorptions of H2 are significantly favored compared to molecular adsorptions. There is a significant charge transfer from the first layer of the vanadium surface to the Hydrogen atoms. Three possible adsorption sites, top, bridge and center site, were considered in ...

Numerical treatment of diatomic molecules

The interest in theoretical and experimental investigations of diatomic molecules is recently increasing due to the attempts to achieve Bose-Einstein condensates of a larger variety of atoms, since the stability of the condensates depends critically on the scattering behaviour, especially the scattering length, of the atoms that should form the condensate. A second motivation for more detailed ...
